Bible Reading

John 8:31-32  So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine;  and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

A disciple remains in the Word of God. It is the obligation of a disciple to know and apply the Word of God, all day, every day. So, we must ask the question: “How do you get to know the Word, and apply it in your life?”  (KNOWING, DOING)

There are 5 main disciplines you need to practice, regularly, if not daily. They are:.

  • HEAR the WORD
  • READ the WORD
  • STUDY the WORD
  • MEMORIZE the WORD
  • MEDITATE on the WORD.

The Disciple must make it a habit to do these things, and learn to do them better. For example, “How can I be a better HEARER of the Word?” Through organization, planning, and a little effort one can dramatically improve their HEARING of the Word.
