Our Beliefs
ESSENTIAL BELIEFS OF MEMBERSHIP
Historic Christian beliefs our membership must affirm.
The Bible – We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, sufficient and authoritative Word of God. The whole life of the church and the Christian is to be guided and directed by Holy Scripture because it reveals the principles by which God judges us, and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried.
God – We believe there is one God, who exists eternally in three distinct persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ – We believe in the full deity and humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, including His virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His coming bodily return in power and glory to consummate His Kingdom.
Holy Spirit – We believe in the full deity of the Holy Spirit, who indwells every believer, enabling obedience and spiritual growth, and He preserves each believer unto eternity.
Salvation – We believe all men are sinful, separated from God, and unable to save themselves. Salvation is only by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
The Church – We believe that the universal church is made up of all the redeemed believers from all times. We believe that commitment to the local church is necessary for spiritual health and obedience to the Great Commission.
As a church, we affirm the doctrines and principles of the Baptist Faith & Message, 2000 of the Southern Baptist Convention.
